MY 2 BUNNIES NEED A NEW HOME!
I have 2 bunnies, both female, who need a new home. I now have a Guide Dog, and just don't have the time or the energy to put into looking after them, or spending time with them. So they need a new home where they will be loved.
I don't know exactly what breed they are, but both are almost definitely "crosses" of some kind. One has lop ears and short hair; the other has "up" ears, and long hair - looks like a giant fur ball!
The furry one is very skittish, and I've never been able to get her to let me pet her. Both hate being picked up.
Neither is spayed. Both are about 2 years old. Both are very small bunnies.
They currently live in a very large cage ("bunny condo") with many levels, which I had bought from a young woman who built it. All of the shelving is wood, and I covered all of it in nice white sticky shelf paper, and tried not to leave any edges that they could get at. Unfortunately, they were able to dig their teeth into it anyway, and have peeled off all of the shelf paper. The cage is also on wheels, making it very easy to move when it is together. The cage is 44 in high x 42 in wide x 28 in deep.
I am not asking for any money for the bunnies. They just need a new home.
You can also have the "bunny condo" for free, but you will need to nearly dismantle it in order to get it through my front door. (All of the wire squares are held together with zip-ties, and we had to remove a lot of the zip-ties, and remove the base, in order to get it into my house, so the same thing will have to happen to get it out of my house.) I also have some pellets, some hay, and some litter that you are welcome to have. They have chewed up the litter box somewhat, so you probably don't want that. They have never figured out how to drink from a sippy bottle, so I have a gravity water dish, which you can also have. I also have an electronic spinning PetSafe food dish that provides 5 meals. I have it set up to rotate at 8am and 5pm each day, so the 5 sections of the dish feed them for, basically, a weekend. It takes 4 "D" batteries. You can have that as well. I also have a playpen, which you can have.
I live in southeast Edmonton, in the community of Maple Ridge. It is very east, off of 17th Street. If you are interested, please contact me to make arrangements to pick up.
If you only want the bunnies, food, litter and water supplies - but not the cage - that is totally fine.
